What was your last victory and what wins did you collect along the way? 

Challenging the status quo takes guts and fortitude. 

Are you ready to try something new? 

I got back on my downhill skis this year after not skiing for about a decade. 

It was humbling. 

I love to move mindfully. 

I thought I was in pretty good shape. 

After three runs, my thighs were on fire. 

Was it time for cocoa? 

Will this ever be fun? 

It doesn’t help that everyone in my family is a (much, much) better skier than I. 

They’re very kind, and encouraging. 

Someone has to be the last one down the hill, right? 

Talking to one of my sons, he said, Mom, it’s just TOS, or time on skis. 

Right. 

So, basically, there’s no way I’ll ever catch up. 

That’s ok. 

Who doesn’t love a generous serving of humble pie? 

Then, I started thinking about you, and my clients. 

How can I motivate you all when there’s disappointment about how long some new adventure is taking, or how hard it is to master. 

Now, I can say, it’s a matter of TO___. 

Time on whatever new task is at hand. 

Is it easy? 

Not usually, at least for a long while. 

Is it worth the effort? 

Chances are good that in the end, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. 

Can we make it easier? 

100%. 

I love the phrase “ensure for success.” 

I dialed in boots that are rear-entry so I’m not ready for a nap by the time I’ve buckled my boots. 

Today, after decades of skiing, I upped my game and used Little Hotties Hand Warmers. 

Total Game Changer. 

Be daring. 

Rest into the fact that every journey started with a single step. 

Trying something new is a courageous act. 

Pushing the boundaries can feel scary. 

Ensure for success by knowing that fine line between safety and adventure. 

Put the time in. 

Tweak it so it’s more fun which increases the chances you’ll stick with it.
