January 2024 Newsletter How Do You Help Lift All Boats?

What's your genius? Ā

Everyone has a zone of excellence to share.

What's yours? How did that come to be? Thank you for being part of the tide that improves the world.Ā

Ā

How do you move your skill set to a new level if you're working, or retired?

Personally, what's your aim?Ā

Ā

Mine is to broaden my friendship circle. When I was younger, I used to have a sign on my wall thatĀ  stated, "Preserve wildlife, throw a party." I love to play charades (ask me about Justin Bieber sometime!)

How do you get out on the edge?Ā

How do you help lift other boats?Ā

Ā

How do you toot your horn?

WhereĀ are you outstanding in your community?Ā

Ā

This year, I will be offering Meetups every two weeks.Ā

On the second Friday of each month at 3 pm, we'll walk (~ 1 hour) at Peet's Hill behind the Bozeman Library.Ā

Ā

Then, let's get together for a themed party on the fourth Friday, also at 3 pm, in the Community Room at the Bozeman Library. Especially during the colder months, some meetings will b...

Ā

Checking In

How do we make this holiday season easy and safe so we can be fully present? Letā€™s take time to prepare and plan what our holidays will look like this year. Journal, meditate and visualize key events.Ā

Ā

The seasons progress without our help. Here we are at the beginning of the holiday season. Halloween is over. Hopefully, thereā€™s not too much candy remaining. šŸŽƒšŸ˜‰

Ā

Prep with Grace

How do you prepare for the holidays? Are you looking to freeze recipes before the big events? Donā€™t overcommit. I love to make a list of goodies I want to eat in the next two months. Then, I removed at least two recipes. Will the occasion be any less enjoyable with fewer desserts or appetizers? No one will know but me. šŸ¤«šŸ˜‹

October 2023 Newsletter

Elizabeth Packardā€¦unsung hero

Ā

Read and be changed

Womenā€™s stories are vast, and some are unforgettable, especially when the storytelling is powerful.Ā

Life-changing moments happen.Ā

I had one when I read ā€œThe Woman They Could Not Silenceā€ by Kate Moore.Ā

When was your last life-changing moment? How did your life change?Ā

Ā

I just finished Kate Mooreā€™sĀ  ā€œThe Woman They Could Not Silenceā€ by Kate Moore, about Elizabeth Packard in the 1860s and her mighty struggles during her life and incarceration in an insane asylum.Ā

Books that lead me to see the world in a new way are a rare find.Ā

What was the last book that did that for you, changed your perception of the world?Ā

Ā

I love a long book. When I found this one in the library's nonfiction section, I was unprepared for a thriller that read like one. Unputdownable, thatā€™s how itā€™s described on the authorā€™s page.

ā€œBestselling author Kate Moore brings her sparkling narrative voice to The Woman They Cou...

September 2023 Newsletter šŸ’žSpoiler alert: New stunning health-boosting launch

Let's look at three considerations of a coaching relationship.

Ā

The first three aspects of coaching focus on what it means to capitalize on a health training partnership.

Ā Ā

  • Be authentic

Ā

When we think about our health, does this thought come to mind? "Something isn't working or needs a redo."

A coaching relationship is often an opportunity of a lifetime.Ā

A personal health story can take decades to write.Ā

Many people ask, "Is it possible to change?"Ā

Working with a coach is a golden moment.Ā

Let's put our minds to it.Ā

As a client, lean into the relationship with me as the coach.Ā

I'm here for you.Ā

I've been finessing for decades how best to help people deepen their relationship with health and move forward, and over and under roadblocks.

How do we know when we're being authentic?

Ā

Ā

  • ConnectĀ

Ā

The coach's job is to establish, monitor, and maintain the most vital connection ...

July 2023 Newsletter Itā€™s Summer! Be brave and lead with love

Whatā€™s the best path to connection?Ā

As purpose-filled 55+ women, one of our charges is to create community.

Choose the strength of community as often as you may need it.

We all do better together.Ā

Ā

Let's embrace the light

Iā€™ve been noticing how easy it is to go out for a walk after dinner. It stays light so much longer. The temps are finally warming up (sorry, Houston!) I say hi to kids and neighbors out on their porches. I love noticing familiar faces on walking trails, or at the dog park. The next time youā€™re out and walking by someone, I invite you to say hi and strike up a conversation about the weather, their dog, and the construction in the area. I was just listening to a podcast that stated that peopleā€™s perception of you is more favorable than you think. Go into the next social setting and remember that people like you more than you think. Go ahead, say hi, and see what happens.Ā

How can we be patient and present?

Itā€™s harder to make (and keep) friends as adults. S...

February 2023 Newsletter What's your Time on Task?

What was your last victory and what wins did you collect along the way?Ā

Challenging the status quo takes guts and fortitude.Ā

Are you ready to try something new?Ā

Ā

I got back on my downhill skis this year after not skiing for about a decade.Ā

It was humbling.Ā

I love to move mindfully.Ā

I thought I was in pretty good shape.Ā

After three runs, my thighs were on fire.Ā

Was it time for cocoa?Ā

Will this ever be fun?Ā

Ā

It doesnā€™t help that everyone in my family is a (much, much) better skier than I.Ā

Theyā€™re very kind, and encouraging.Ā

Someone has to be the last one down the hill, right?Ā

Talking to one of my sons, he said, Mom, itā€™s just TOS, or time on skis.Ā

Right.Ā

So, basically, thereā€™s no way Iā€™ll ever catch up.Ā

Thatā€™s ok.Ā

Who doesnā€™t love a generous serving of humble pie?Ā

Ā

Then, I started thinking about you, and my clients.Ā

How can I motivate you all when thereā€™s disappointment about how long some new adventure is taking, or how hard it is to master.Ā

June 2023 Newsletter How will you allow this abundant season to support you?

June 2023 Newsletter Ā  How will you allow this abundant season to support you?Ā

Ā

What is in your daily routine that allows you to enjoy life, and, at the same time, make the world a better place? This is a rich and generous time of year. There is an innocence in the air, before the full-on energy of summer. Take note of best practices to magnify your energy.Ā

Ā

This month includes the summer solstice and the longest day of the year. Rest completely in the few hours of nighttime. These weeks that approaches the solstice are sweet. The days continue to lengthen. Thereā€™s an expansion of energy as the trees unfurl their beauty, and vegetables and flowers burst into new stages of growth and abundance. Breathe in the cherry and apple blossomsā€™ sweetness. Close your eyes and soak in the ephemeral scents of lilacs and peonies.

Ā

Ā In Native American tradition, we move from the time of the child in the spring to the teenager in the summer. Weā€™re in the tween stage, when life is unruly, ho...

May 2023 Newsletter How do you focus easily? What distracts you?

Uncategorized

May 2023 Newsletter

Does focus come easily?Ā

Ā

Or are you easily distractable?

Ā

Iā€™m sure you have goals for the spring/summer.

Hopefully, your good health is at the top of your daily to-do list.Ā

How do you describe a life well spent?

Focus, and donā€™t delay.Ā

Ā

Focus. This is the word that keeps sounding when itā€™s quiet, in my heart and mind.Ā

Have you heard the saying, ā€œThe days are long, and the years are shortā€? Itā€™s so true.Ā

We make our way through each day, hopefully bringing more peace and love into the world. One day might not be a game changer and yet, these 24-hour segments comprise our lives.Ā

Are you making the most of yours?Ā

Ā

Perhaps being a Gigi and noticing how fast the time flies while watching my grandsonā€™s growth and progress makes me more aware of the fleeting quality of time.Ā

Ā

What does it mean to focus? As we age, the brevity of life becomes more apparent.Ā

How do you put the blinders on and devote yourself to what really matters?Ā

To not b...
